How a plan works

The terms, in plain words

  • What a plan is, and is not

A plan is an agreement for scheduled visits. It is not insurance and not a warranty. If a part fails, we quote the repair and you decide.

  • Renewal and cancelling

A plan renews every year on the day you started it. Text or call us before that day and we will not renew it. We send a reminder first.

  • What is not included

Parts, repair labor and fuel. We quote them before we start, and nothing is done without your yes.

  • Picking your week

Spring is our busiest stretch, March 2 to May 29. Plan members choose their week first, and the text before your visit names who is coming.

  • Repairs between visits

Call or text. Priority members go to the front of the repair list. We do not promise an arrival time.

  • What you pay, and when

The yearly price is due when you sign up, and again at each renewal. We take card and check.

Questions

Questions about the plans

How do I cancel a plan?

Text or call us before the renewal day and we will not renew it. We send you a reminder before every renewal, so you never have to remember the date.

Is a plan the same as insurance or a warranty?

No. A plan pays for scheduled visits. It does not pay for parts or repairs, and it is not a warranty. If something needs fixing, we quote it and you decide.

When should I book?

Spring tune-ups run March 2 to May 29, and plan members choose their week first. A fall visit is a good second look before winter.

What does a service visit cover?

We inspect the unit, change the oil and filter, test the battery, check the transfer switch, run the generator and leave you a written report with photos. Load-test plans add a test with the house running on the generator.
